·NBR (Nitrile Rubber): It is a kind of material that can resist oil, wear, and aging very well. Operating temperature range: -30°C to 120°C; tensile strength: 3.5 - 21 MPa; elongation: 300% - 700%; compression set: 15% - 35%. Its low price and good performance make NBR suitable for home appliances, auto parts, and general machinery.
·SIL (Silicone): This material can operate in a very wide temperature range from -60°C to 230°C. Also, it is non-toxic, odorless, and can be made to be food-grade. Some of the physical characteristics of silicone include: Tensile strength 7–14 MPa; elongation 200%–400%; compression set 15%–25%. It is a good material for use in kitchen and bathroom appliances, drinking water equipment as well as outdoor lighting.
·EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer): A material which is very durable to ozone, weather changing, acids, and alkalis. Long-term outdoor exposure does not cause it to crack. Strength when stretched: 9–15 MPa; length increase: 300%–600%; remaining after compression: 15%–30%. It's perfect for outdoor electrical devices, sanitary ware and electrical enclosures/cabinets.
·Chloroprene rubber (CR) is a type of rubber that is flame-retardant, self-extinguishing, and provides a high level of safety. It has several mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 12–20 MPa, elongation of 300%–500%, and compression set of 20%–40%. It is capable of being produced in ultra-thin 0.3mm sheets or in complex shapes. It is most suitable for use in precision instruments and outdoor power equipment.

Of course, we definitely recommend NBR for conditions in which there is exposure to oil. On the other hand, if it is a matter of sun, rain or contact with an acidic or alkaline medium, EPDM would be the perfect choice, especially when the exposure is for a long time.
