The aging process and failure of the seals under high-temperature working conditions are so frequent that they cause unplanned downtime and very high maintenance costs.
In practice, although the operating temperature of the equipment does not go beyond the resistance temperature limit of the gasket, the prolonged exposure to a hot, heat-oxygen environment makes normal silicone gaskets to harden and crack within only a few months, which leads to seal failure.
We solve this problem right from the start with our heat resistant silicone gasket, which is made of top-notch multi-purpose heat-resistant silicone rubber raw materials. It can endure a temperature as high as 250℃. When subjected to an aging test at 200℃×22h, its compression deformation rate is ≤30%, which puts it well above the usual silicone products.
At the same time, our gaskets keep sealing well because they stay stuck to the sealing surface even when the temperature goes up and down during the thermal cycling.

1. Can this silicone flat gasket come into contact with food or pharmaceuticals?

2. The gasket is relatively soft; will it tear or deform easily during installation?
It will not tear or deform under normal installation methods.
• Avoid pulling: Silicone material is malleable; do not pull the gasket forcefully during installation to avoid thinning or deformation.
• Single-use principle: It is recommended to replace with a brand new gasket during disassembly and maintenance to maintain optimal sealing performance.
3. What should I pay attention to before installing the silicone flat gasket?
Carry out surface preparation and cleaning. Thoroughly clean the surfaces of the installation flange, equipment interface, and sealing groove to ensure that they are free of oil, dust, and foreign matter. Dust and oil on the surface will influence the bonding between the gasket and the sealing surface, causing a reduction in the sealing performance and in some cases, even leakage.
