1.‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ The metal and fluoroelastomer are integrated with each other through the high-temperature vulcanization process; the seal remains intact and does not deteriorate under high-pressure vibration or thermal cycling conditions.
2. These bonded seals can undergo extreme temperatures from -20°C to +220°C besides being capable of exposure to strong acids, strong alkalis, and organic solvents; they do not become soft when heated.
3. Aside from hardness, physical dimensions and shapes may also be modified to a different kind of working ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌condition.

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ major threat of bonded washers, specifically standard types, is not the old rubber. The main problem is separating the rubber from the metal part. After being exposed to hot, greasy conditions for a while, the edges can get loose and the medium can get through and corrode the metal surface, which could lead to losing the bolt torque and a sudden pressure ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌drop.

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ FKM metal bonded gasket seal was created by us in response to this problem. Through the use of high-temperature vulcanization the FKM (fluoroelastomer) was integrally bonded with a metal substrate; the metal gave shape and positioning to the gasket, while the FKM ensured sealing and cushioning as well as excellent bond ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌strength.

What Is the FKM Metal Bonded Gasket Seal Made Of?

It‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is made by first removing grease from the metal surface, then sandblasting, and pretreatment with a special adhesive. After that, composite molding is done by high-temperature vulcanization, which leads to deep fusion of the rubber to the metal. Therefore, the seal will not crack or become unglued even when subjected to high-pressure vibrations or thermal cycling. This is a unique product made for top-tier planar sealing in extremely hot chemical processing, hydraulic and fuel systems, and precision equipment. Most important details of it ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌are:

What Are the Advantages of Our Metal Bonded Gaskets?

1. Superior corrosion resistance.

For‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ the sealing layer, we source our materials from a reputable fluoroelastomer (FKM) supplier. This material performs exceptionally well in resisting the corrosive effects of the majority of chemical media, such as gasoline, diesel, hydraulic fluids, strong acids and alkalis, as well as various organic solvents, greatly exceeding the performance of ordinary rubber. Besides this, we have a wide selection of metal substrates including galvanized steel, stainless steel, cold-rolled steel, and copper to help us give the different corrosive environments their needed structural ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌consistencies.

2. High-temperature stability.

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ FKM sealing layer works in the btemperature range from -20°C to +220°C; it is not affected by a change in temperature even when it is exposed to high temperature for a long time, it will provide a reliable sealing performance that lasts. A compression set of ≤20% after a 24-hour test at 200°C means the seal can resist high-temperature creep, which is a major cause of seal ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌failure.

3. Rigid-stop sealing.

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ metal substrate sets the compression level accurately, so that the parts are not damaged by over-compressing, and at the same time, the sealing gap remains managed. Shore hardness is between 70 and 90 A (can be changed), and these seals come in standard forms—like single layer metal with two side FKM coating, single side flat metal gaskets, bonded flange washers, metal encapsulated gaskets, valve seat seals, and composite oil circuit gaskets. With these, an excellent balance between strict location and flexible compensation is ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌obtained.

4. Leak-free under high pressure.

We‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ use FKM metal bonded seals to be sure they fit tightly and the pressure that they can take is high. This shows that they have a tensile strength of 10-25 MPa and a break elongation of 150%-350%. So leakage is very little risk. Our method of making them includes molding, mixing, pre-curing, vulcanization and inspection and as a result, our products are smooth, have no burrs and can be laid in standard installation grooves for easy and proper ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌installation.

5. Long fatigue life.

Metric‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ bonded seals can handle refrigerated and hot temperatures, changes in hydraulic pressure, and, at the same time, they are resistant to ozone and they are flame retardant; they have a longer life in high temperature, oil and chemical media environments. The dimensions and the shapes are customizable depending on the client's needs, so that they can be adapted to even the most complex ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌conditions.

6. Comprehensive certifications and quality assurance.

Our‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ products are certified with various standards such as IATF 16949, AS9100D, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, RoHS 2.0, NSF/WRAS, and UL. We ensure top-quality sealing solutions that are safe, compliant and durable by tightly controlling the entire production chain from raw materials to the finished ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌products.
