1. Do small metric O rings have stable size and performance characteristics from batch to batch?
Yes. We have a rigidly controlled finished-product sampling inspection program and also have ISO9001 and IATF16949 certificates. Different batches of the same product specification still show very little variation in dimensional tolerances, hardness, and material properties.
2. How exactly is the precision control of your metric O-rings different from the standard products available in the market?
We thoroughly monitor the inner diameter and cross-section tolerances as per GB/T 3452.1 (Class N). We ensure our products to have a very high level of consistent dimensions which mean they can reliably perform sealing once installed correctly. On the other hand, typical products have the problem of dimensional variations as a result of not properly controlling shrinkage, therefore, they get distorted or leak after being installed.
3. How should I choose between NBR and FKM for high-temperature, oil-exposed applications?
If the temperature is ≤120°C and the environment consists of standard mineral oil, then please select NBR. However, FKM should be chosen when the temperature goes above 120°C or the medium is corrosive; FKM has a heat resistance capability up to 320°C.
