1. Medical silicon rubber tubes are highly transparent which makes it easier for medical personnel to observe and check continuously.
2. Silastic tubing medical tubes maintain their integrity even when exposed to extreme temperatures as low as -60℃ and high heat as high as 220℃. These are not only resistant to heat and pressure but also to ethylene oxide disinfection.
3. We supply medical silicone rubber tube lines that meet a wide variety of medical fluid transportation needs, including connection devices and oxygen/water supply.
If the secondary curing is inadequate, or if the grade of the material is not sufficiently pure, transparent medical-grade silicone is likely to gradually develop low-molecular-weight precipitation siloxane rings inside the wall of the tubing after temperature changes or prolonged usage. These precipitates can, when passing medication through such tubing, cause emulsification, the passage of fats and oils, and paclitaxel can result in the danger of particulate contamination, equipment breakdown, and harm to the patient.
The concept is to utilize high-purity medical-grade fumed silica rubber in the production of medical silicone tubing in order to limit low-molecular-weight rings to a great extent at the earliest stages of the production process. After doing an internal lab simulation for 72 hours by running drugs and peristaltic pumps, it became clear that this treated silicone rubber tubing does not show extractable residue. Bear in mind that the results we demonstrated are real-life cases, but they will not be the same with every type of drug, temperature, and conditions of equipment and usage.
Definition and Classification
Surgical silicone tubing is made with a high-purity medical-grade fumed silica rubber extrusion molding method, giving the material an entirely transparent, soft, smooth, odorless tubular form. These silicone tubes are broadly categorised into ordinary medical transparent silicone tubes, peristaltic pump-specific silicone tubes, and ultra-thin-walled medical flexible tubes, which can be described as medical special-purpose tubing for the transportation of fluids, the connection of medical devices, and the supply of oxygen and water.

What benefits does Silicone Tubing Medical offer?
They are not visible because of the fogging effect in normal silicone tubes caused by the uneven distribution of fillers and impure vulcanization
Absolutely clean surgery silicone tubes made from medical-grade vapor-phase silicone rubber with over 90% visible light transmission guarantee that it will be possible to clearly see both the liquid and the bubbles.
Some silicone tubes are so sensitive that they harden and yellow after long exposure to high - temperature sterilization. Our fully transparent medical silicone tubes have excellent temperature resistance that covers - 60℃ up to 220℃. These can be high-temperature, high-pressure steam or even ethylene oxide disinfected, but they will still come out of the process unharmed with their appearance. The tubes can be repeatedly sterilized without being damaged, being capable of holding up against multiple high-temperature, high-pressure steam sterilizations (The exact quantity of such repetitions should be verified through real-time conditions).
The common silicone tube deformation rate varies between 15% and 20%
Due to flattening or collapsing, which leads to the stopping of liquid flow and therefore affects operations. However, in peristaltic pump or during a compression/tube bending situation
Compressive set in the case of our surgical silicone tubes is ≤15%, its tensile strength is 7 MPa - 12 MPa, with quick recovery from flattening, being able to resist torsion to eliminate flatting/knotting. Even upon being crushed several times, it keeps the liquid flow continuous.
Regular silicone tube plasticizer presence
Medical contact with the presence of plastics can lead to leaching and irritation/chemical reaction as well.
Our silastic medical tubing that is safe for human use has been tested and found to be compatible with a wide range of aqueous solutions and pharmaceutical liquids, as well as acid, alkali, and medical solvent resistant properties. Non-toxic, no fragrance, and free from plasticizers are other features of it. It complies with the requirements of medical biocompatibility, FDA, and RoHS 2.0 standards.
The inside wall of a normal silicone tube can be a bit rough, and there are instances where residues are left behind, especially after transport of viscous liquids or after use for a long time. There is a risk of bacterial growth.
The roughness value of the inner wall for our medical silicone tubes is only ≤ 0.4 μ m, thanks to which residues cannot easily form and therefore cleaning is an easy job for fluid resistance and flow smooth.
What Is the Primary Use of Surgical Silicone Tubing?
Clinical Uses: In infusion and drainage, oxygen supply, connecting medical devices internally, pipes that deliver liquids used in the operation, etc., the tubes should be safe for physical contact and deliver in a constant and steady manner.
Lab and Biological Settings: Transportation of biological fluids, connecting tubes in labs, minimizing the danger of visible precipitate contamination of highly lipophilic pharmaceuticals.
Industry: Food/pharma liquid transportation to comply with hygiene standards and production efficiency.

About Yida Rubber:
Our corporation was set up more than 15 years ago, in 2006, and a number of our team members have an in-depth knowledge of rubber-making as they have accumulated over 30 years of hands-on experience in that field. Currently, we own a production site of 37,000 sq. meters, have a staff of 450 individuals, and a manufacturing output of more than 2 billion units per year. To be sure about our final goods quality, we welcome TUV inspectors as third-party checking bodies.
Export and Cooperation:
We have forged long-term cooperative partnerships with well-known brand names such as SMC, Omron, and Minebea. In particular, as one of Omron's core health care equipment component suppliers, every year Yida Rubber delivers several million pieces to Omron, and the company has also been awarded the "Omron Global Strategic Partner Certificate". Besides that, at this time our product line has found its way into a broad range of countries and areas such as the USA, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, and many others.

Quality and Certifications:
The company operates an independent laboratory (CNAS L25142 accredited), as per IATF 16949 and ISO standards (14001, 9001), is also ISO certified. The factory system is so rigorous that it goes all the way from materials inspection right up to the point where the final product is being tested for quality. There are more than 1,000 original material formulations that belong to the company. Additionally, the level of mold accuracy is in fact so high that it operates to the micron.

Our firm attended the 14th Shanghai International Long-Term Energy Storage Technology Conference and the 27th Dalian International Industrial Expo. These events gave us a chance to meet up close with a lot of medical companies and further our reach in the foreign markets.

FAQ:
1. Can the product last longer without wearing out when a peristaltic pump is used continuously?
Absolutely. The product's compression set is ≤15%; the material remains bend-proof when used over time; it can be used to squeeze the material, and the material doesn't really bend. Torsion resistance is good that with a little twisting, it will not change shape; it doesn't lose shape. It's resistant to deformation, that is, it doesn't flatten easily. Nor does it get entangled. All this ensures consistent fluid delivery.
2. Does any drug get left on the inner wall of the transparent Silastic tubing?
In normal operating conditions, thanks to the very smooth inner surface, the amount of drug residue is low, which at the same time makes the tubing easy to clean. Our product has an inner wall roughness of ≤0.4 μm, which results in very low fluid resistance and, at the same time, high surface smoothness, which makes cleaning very simple.
3. What measures have you taken to ensure there will be no visible extractant contamination of a lipophilic drug?
We source high-purity pharmaceutical-grade fumed silicone rubber and subject it to exhaustive secondary vulcanization. In this way, we apply a "double check" - one at the raw materials level and the other at the manufacturing process to prevent the appearance of any extracts. In no case could the presence of extracts have been found by means of internal simulated drug contact tests. This assures the quality of lipophilic drug purity to the highest standards.
